Testing and Results
The BSD Roof OpenSky has been tested to BS EN 12101 Part 2: 2003: Specification for natural and heat exhaust ventilators. This standard
involves a series of demanding tests determining aerodynamic free area, reliability of operation, performance under load, low temperature option and exposure to heat.
Reliability Class: RE 1000 - Number of released openings: 11000, In Ventilation Position: 10000, In Fire Open Position: 1000 (The fire open position was reached within 60 seconds)
Snow Load Class: SL125 - Applied snow test load per blade: 5kg, Side wind of: 10m/s, (The fire open position was reached within 60 seconds)
Low Ambient Temperature: T (-05) - Operated down to a temperature of -5C (The fire open position was reached within 60 seconds)
Wind Load Class: WL 1500 - Tested to withstand wind loads of class WL 1500 (The fire open position was reached within 60 seconds)
Heat Exposure Temperature Class: B 300 - Vent opened & stayed open for 30 minutes at a temperature of 300C
