The BeSafe Direct Environmental Ceiling Damper (ECD) has been designed for use within ceiling voids to allow the movement of air typically between the occupied area and extraction riser.

To allow the movement of air into the ceiling, Be Safe Direct have a variety of grills that can be fitted within the ceiling board for a clean finish.
Function
The ECD damper on all levels is normally set to open and is designed to close in an emergency to prevent the spread of smoke and fire. The damper responds to a signal received via the smoke and fire detection system.
The ECD damper has been successfully tested to the EN1366-2:2015 Fire Damper Test Standard and has achieved a 2-hour fire resistance performance to ES120. Throughout the test, a 300Pa pressure differential is applied across the damper and leakage measurements taken.
