Consisting of two parts, the Lobby Damper Natural features a sleeved casing which allows the primary damper to be fully recessed. Accompanied by a Belimo on/off actuator that drives the blades when the operation is required. The internal surfaces of the LDN are painted black to ensure that they blend in, concealing the damper neatly behind the easy-fit grille.
The grille has been engineered to provide maximum airflow while maintaining optimum clearance from the damper blades operating behind the grille. Six concealed fixings connect the grille to the damper sleeve. These are available in white or a range of RAL colours or requested.
In standard operation, the damper is typically closed. Upon a signal from the smoke and fire detection system, the damper will activate, opening the damper blades to vent the smoke and toxic gasses that are generated from a fire.
LDN Dampers on other levels will remain closed for the ventilation of the smoke and prevent the spread of fire from the riser on those levels.
