Be Safe Direct Limited whose registered address is 152 - 154 London Road, Greenhithe, Kent, DA9 9JW (registered in England and Wales under registration number 07234883) the "Seller".
The "Buyer" means the person, firm or company who accepts a Quotation of the Seller for the sale of the Goods or whose Order for the Goods is accepted by the Seller.
The information that the Buyer provides to the Seller will only be used by the Seller in accordance with the Seller's privacy policy. Please read the privacy policy carefully and if you have any questions please email customerservices@besafedirect.com
Personal Information
(a) The Seller understands that your privacy is very important to you and so with this in mind any personal information collected and used by the Seller will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
(b) The Seller will use the Buyers details (including but not limited to name, address, telephone number and email address), for the provision of services to the Buyer, and other information about the Buyer to manage the Buyer's account.
(c) Please do not submit your personal information to the Company if you do not wish the Company to collect it.
Cookies and Web beacons
(a) The collection of information may involve the use of cookies and web beacons. A web beacon is a small graphic image placed on a web page that is designed to allow the Seller to monitor traffic on its website. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the user's computer hard drive by its web browser when they first visit the website. The cookie allows the Seller to identify the Buyer's computer and find out details about the Buyer's last visit. Most internet browsers accept cookies automatically, but usually the user can alter the settings of their browser to erase cookies or prevent automatic acceptance if they prefer. If the Buyer chooses not to receive cookies, the Seller cannot guarantee that the Buyer's experience on the Seller's website will be as quick, or responsive, as if the Buyer had chosen to receive cookies.
(b) The information collected by cookies and web beacons is not personally identifiable, it includes general information about the Buyer's computer settings, and connection to the internet e.g. operating system and platform, IP address, browsing patterns, timings of browsing on the Seller's website and geographical location.
Mobile and Email address
(a) The Buyer agrees that the Seller may communicate with the Buyer via SMS messaging or by email if the Buyer has supplied mobile number or email address. The Seller may monitor and record all SMS messages and telephone calls for training, security and customer service purposes. The Seller may use this data for the purposes of resolving queries and disputes that may arise from time to time.
(b) The Seller takes measures to ensure that any information supplied to the Seller is kept securely. As this is the case, the Seller occasionally needs proof of identity before the Seller can allow the Buyer access to its personal information.
Third Parties
The Seller may pass on Buyer's data to other group companies, successors in title to the Seller or assignees. Any statistical data the Seller gathers does not include any personal information
Data Protection Act
(a) The Seller is registered under the Data Protection Act and processes data accordingly. The Buyer has the right to access personal information that the Seller holds about him/her, by writing to the Seller at the address 154 London Road, Greenhithe, Kent, DA9 9JW. The Seller may charge a small administration fee in relation to fulfilling a request for access to personal information.
(b) If the Buyer objects to its data being collated or wishes to remove the data from the Seller's records then please contact the Seller by writing to 154 London Road, Greenhithe, Dartford, Kent, DA99JW
(c) If the Buyer does not believe that the Seller has dealt with its data correctly then the Buyer has the right to complain to the Information Commissioner.
(d) Please note that an electronic transmission of data using the internet cannot be completely secure and despite the Seller's best efforts the Seller is unable to guarantee that information the Buyer sends to anyone via the Seller's service is secure. However, the Seller will use reasonable endeavours to protect the security of the Buyer's personal information from unauthorised access or use, by using encryption technology.
(e) In addition to these safeguards, the Buyer's personal information is protected under English Law by the Data Protection Act 1998. This provides that the information which the Seller holds about the Buyer should be processed fairly and lawfully, should be accurate, relevant and not excessive, and should not be retained for longer than is necessary and, if applicable, be kept up to date.
